Objective

The ICCAD Quantum Computing Applications and Systems (QCAS) Workshop aims to provide a platform for researchers and industry professionals to present and discuss cross-disciplinary research and developments in quantum technologies, with a focus on design automation, computer architecture, and scientific methods.

Foster collaboration and networking opportunities among participants from academia and industry to address emerging challenges and explore potential solutions in fault-tolerant quantum computing, quantum compiler, quantum operating system, and quantum-classic hybrid supercomputing.

Facilitate knowledge transfer and technology adoption by showcasing practical applications and case studies in areas such as quantum machine learning, quantum finance, and quantum chemistry.

By promoting interdisciplinary interactions and explore the intersection of quantum technologies with machine learning and natural science, we aim to advance the field of quantum computing and its applications.

Call for poster proposals

Share work in progress with a cross-disciplinary audience spanning quantum information science, computer architecture, and design automation.

QCAS 2026 welcomes poster proposals from researchers and practitioners working on any topic within the workshop's four tracks. The poster track is especially intended for students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career industry researchers seeking feedback on work in progress.

Proposals are due September 25, 2026 (AoE) and are submitted through EasyChair. Each proposal must be a single PDF, double-columned in 9pt or 10pt font, between one and three pages, containing the poster title, the authors with contact information and a designated main contact, an abstract of 200 to 250 words, and a statement of relevance to the QCAS 2026 tracks.

Each proposal will be reviewed by at least two members of the program committee for technical quality and relevance to the QCAS 2026 scope. Notification of acceptance will be sent by October 16, 2026, and accepted abstracts will be posted on this site.

Call Release and Outreach

The call was released on August 17, 2026 through the QCAS 2026 website, ICCAD conference channels, quantum computing community mailing lists, and direct outreach to research groups active in the workshop's topic areas. Open the EasyChair submission portal.

Proposal Format

One PDF 1–3 pages

Double-column format using 9pt or 10pt font.

    A descriptive title that will attract potential attendees.

    List all authors, provide contact information for each, and clearly identify the main contact.

    200–250 words. Upon acceptance, this abstract will be published on the QCAS 2026 website.

    Statement of poster relevance

    Explain how the work connects to quantum computing and quantum engineering, with reference to the QCAS 2026 tracks.

Track 1. Quantum Error Correction at Scale

  • Error correcting code construction, analysis, and selection for scalable architectures.
  • Decoding algorithms, strategies, and performance optimization under realistic noise.
  • Classical hardware implementation of real-time decoders and syndrome processing infrastructure.

Track 2. Fault-Tolerant Compilation, Logical Operations, and Resource Estimation

  • Logical gate implementation, surgery-based operations, and universal computation schemes.
  • Gate synthesis, circuit optimization, and compilation for fault-tolerant quantum programs.
  • End-to-end resource estimation and comparative architectural tradeoff analysis.

Track 3. Distributed and Modular Quantum Architectures

  • Multi-module quantum processor design and quantum interconnect technologies.
  • Distributing error correction and computation across networked quantum nodes.
  • Heterogeneous quantum platform cooperation and system integration standards.

Track 4. Quantum Control and Hardware-Software Co-Design

  • Platform-aware scheduling, mapping, and compilation strategies.
  • Pulse-level control, calibration, and integration with system software.
  • AI and machine learning techniques for quantum system optimization.

Session assignment

Organizers will assign accepted posters to the morning or afternoon session by topical affinity. Authors should not select a session when submitting.

Display and discussion

Posters remain on display throughout the day. Each 40-minute poster session is combined with the coffee break so attendees can browse, discuss, and network over refreshments.

Printing and setup

Posters must be 24 × 36 inches (ARCH D size) in landscape orientation. Presenters are responsible for printing their own posters; display boards and mounting materials will be provided by the workshop.

Registration and In-Person Presentation

At least one author of each accepted poster is expected to register for ICCAD 2026 and present in person in San Jose. Workshop attendance follows the standard ICCAD registration process; QCAS does not set a separate registration deadline.

Early bird timing: The ICCAD 2026 early bird deadline is August 24, 2026—before poster acceptance notifications are sent. Authors seeking the early bird rate will need to register before learning their submission outcome.
